The Experience

The exhibition is an experience lasting about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Time to let yourself be immersed in the beauty of this rare occasion with 110 authentic artworks.

Divided into three universes – Inferno, Purgatory, and Paradise – Divina Dalí is presented within a contemporary scenography incorporating theatrical technologies to create a truly immersive environment through which to experience each universe.

Divina Dalí immerses you in saturated colors and images of the explosive imagination of Dalí with equally explosive journeys to the center of hell and back through Dante’s poetry.

THESE ARTWORKS ARE CONSIDERED TO BE THE MOST CREATIVE TOTAL BODY OF WORK EVER CREATED BY SALVADOR DALÍ.

DANTE ALIGHIERI  X  SALVADOR DALÍ

Two Astonishing Artists Seperated by 700 Years Explore the Human Condition

Year 1321, Italy, Dante Alighieri dies after spending his last 15 years writing the Divine Comedy. This work of poetry becomes widely celebrated as one of the greatest works of world literature. In 1950 the Italian State commissioned Salvador Dalí – a Spanish Surrealist – to illustrate this groundbreaking literary work to commemorate Dante’s 700 birthday. After Dalí started the project there was a public outcry and the commission was canceled, but Dalí would not be stopped.

Over the next nine years, Dalí continued and created a masterful collection in 100 watercolors and published illustrationed prints from an innovative woodblock method.

These two astonishing artists separated by 700 years explore the myths, magnificent work of poetry, fantastical illustrations, and the timeless dialogue on the human condition and power of love.
